Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast
This book is about a girl named Zoey Redbird. Zoey is just an average girl worrying about her geometry test tomorrow, and her "just a friend thats a boy named Heath". Zoey is just about to leave school with her best friend Kayla when she gets "marked" by a vampyre. Right in the middle of the hallway! After Zoey is "marked" she has a crescent shaped moon in the middle of her forehead. Kayla starts to freak out and runs away from Zoey. Zoey almost started to cry but she holds it back, this was the last thing that Zoey thought was going to happen but it did.
Personal Response
I'm not so sure what I would do if I were Zoey. I do know that I would be extremely scared if I was her. Now Zoey has to go to the School of Night with other vampyres. I would be okay with it a little more if I knew ahead of time. But this happened out of nowhere! Then Zoey has to deal with the fact that she has to tell her parents. What if they don't understand and they stop loving her?

I am reading the book "Marked" by P.C Cast + Kristin Cast. Now in the book. Now that Zoey has been marked shes shocked. But she still has to go out in the parking lot and get in her car to drive home. But Zoey knows that there are still people out in the parking lot so she heads for the bathroom and tries to cover up her "mark". Unsuccessfully Zoey starts walking to her car since she thinks that everybody is gone. Right before she gets to her car Heath drives up with his two friends Dustin and Drew. Heath is drunk at the time and smells strong of alcohol. Heath tries to talk to Zoey but Zoey just runs away into her car and drives away.
Personal Response
I have been in one of these situations before with boys. Zoey just doesn't want to be with Heath the way that he wants to be with her. But Heath doesn't want to think that way even though he knows how Zoey feels. And because Zoey doesn't feel the same she is starting to get annoyed with Heath. That has happened to me with one of my best friends. I at least thought of him as a best friend, but he thought of me as more than that. Things did not end that well at that time, but now we are best friends again. Hopefully that will happen with Zoey and Heath.

I am reading the book "Marked" by P.C Cast + Kristin Cast. Zoey has just gotten home from school and has prepared herself to tell her mom. Zoey went to her mom and said that she needed help and on instant her mom stopped what she was doing and gave all her attention to Zoey. But then her mom saw the mark on Zoey's forehead. Then she started to freak out."Oh my God what have you done now?" was the first thing that her mother had said. Zoey had tried to explain but her mother just wouldn't listen. They both started to scream at each other and Zoey stormed out. Zoey felt as if she had nobody but herself.
Personal Response
I feel really bad for Zoey. Zoey doesn't have her real dad with her. He left when she was just a baby. So she has a step-dad. Zoey hates him and has always hated him but she can't do anything about it. She feels as if there isn't anybody else but herself now. She doesn't feel like shes at home when she goes home. And she was just starting to feel comfortable at school and now she can't do that either.

Summary
The next morning Bella woke up and went down stairs for breakfast; Charlie left already, leaving the newspaper on the table. Bella needed to see if the concert ticket adds were still in there. She didn't write down the number before. She needed to order the tickets, but when as she flipped the pages one article stopped her.The headline read "SEATTLE TERRORIZED BY SLAYINGS." Then Edward's voice traveled across the room.... "Bella?" Bella was startled at his low voice was. She started gasping for air and Edward was by her side before she knew it. Edward asked her if he had startled her, but she told him no and then related the news.
Personal Response
I'm kind of scared to find out who the mass killer in Seattle is because Edward and his family think it might be the person "stalking" Bella. I wonder what Bella was talking about when she said she had a strange feeling, like she knew that some how it was connected. I think Edward is so awesome because he can enter a room without being heard. I think that it was a new born that who came into Bella's room and is on the loose in Seattle.
